La Cumbre Brewing Company’s Siberian Silk is a classic Baltic Porter clocking in at 9.3% ABV. This strongly malty yet clean finishing dark lager is extremely limited in package form, so get yourself a four pack while you still can.
The newest format of craft beer packaging is the tall can. Santa Fe Brewing Company is now putting some of their traditional 12oz cans into single pint cans, for various reasons that include portability, convenience, and making the beholder the envy of one’s friends. It is also worth mentioning that their infinitely-drinkable Freestyle Pilsner is available year round! Not quite a Czech Pils, and not a German either; it’s a Santa Fean Pilsner for sure. Keep an eye out for 16oz versions of both their Happy Camper IPA as well as their more citrusy/crushable 7K IPA!
But wait, there’s more! Lagunitas 12th of Never, a very crisp American Pale Ale is now in the 19.2oz format, along with Boulder-based Upslope’s Craft Lager. There’s nowhere to go but up for cans in these modern times…
