September 2018 Wine Club White

Pascal Jolivet, winemaker and merchant, created the Domaine Pascal Jolivet in 1987. In the 30 years since, he has continued to expand the estate, and currently produces more than a dozen cuvées, many of them award-winning, single-vineyard bottlings from Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé. Twice in recent years Wine Spectator has ranked Pascal Jolivet’s wines in its top 100 Wines of the Year. Pascal Jolivet practices biodynamic farming and lets nature take its course, meaning vinification is accomplished with little intervention.

Jolivet’s vision for the Attitude line was to create a high-quality Loire collection—including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Rosé wines—highlighting the entire Loire Valley. We bring you the Sauvignon Blanc as your September Wine Club White. The source of grapes is an estate-owned single vineyard in Touraine, west of Sancerre, in the Loire Valley.

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc has lively acidity, with light and fruity aromas and flavors of lemon, green apple, kiwi, and citrus fruits. Fresh on the palate, the wine may be enjoyed alone or paired with seafood, asparagus, roasted fish, and goat cheese.
