Many of our wine club members have expressed a desire for a second, up-scale, tier for their monthly wines. This month we’re introducing that concept to wine club members and non-members alike.
This month’s regular offerings are from Hahn Family Wines—the Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In addition, however, we’ve also acquired some of Hahn’s Lucienne line of single-vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands wines from the Loan Oak, Doctor’s, and Smith Vineyards. This special event will give you an opportunity to taste the standard wine club offerings, and compare them against these Lucienne wines that garnered 91 points from both the Wine Enthusiast and the Wine Spectator. This side-by-side comparison will also give attendees an opportunity to explore how a second tier of the wine club might work and the kinds of wines that will be offered.
Alex Wright, Mountain Region Manager from Hahn Family Wines, will be on hand to introduce the wines and lead a discussion of the Hahn properties and their wines. This unique tasting and comparison event is free to wine club members, but is open to the public. Non-members may attend for a $5 tasting fee that will be credited toward membership if you join then. Of course, if you find a wine that you’re particularly enjoying, full pours of all the wines offered will also be available.
